Please take note if you are traveling via Dubai. New luggage rules will apply from March 8

Heading off on holiday soon? Read this before you start packing your bags.
Travellers passing through Dubai International Airport might have to invest in some new suitcases if they don’t comply with strict new baggage regulations. 

From March 8, the airport will not accept any oversized, round or lumpy bags. Placing bags on the conveyor that are bound together is also a no-no.

Only bags that have a flat surface will be checked in.

Expansion of OR Tambo International and Cape Town International Airport – what you need to know?

Cape Town – South Africa’s two busiest airports, Cape Town International Airport and OR Tambo International, are headed for major upgrades and facelifts that will cost billions of rands.

This is according to Transport Minister Dipuo Peters, saying that the capital investment programmes across the Airports Company South Africa (Acsa) were defined primarily to address refurbishment and replacement requirements of existing infrastructure and also to provide new or additional capacity.

South Africans applying for a UK visit visa can do so on the Access UK online platform by visiting www.gov.uk/apply-uk-visa or by visiting the www.gov.uk website and selecting the option “apply using the new service”.
